Green Fur

Durante la temporada de otoño invierno Trafaluc tenía en su colección un abrigo de pelo en tono verde-azulado. La primera vez que lo vi me pareció horrible, pero estas cosas pasan... a medida que lo he ido viendo en celebrities, street style, lookbooks... ahora me arrepiento de no haberlo comprado!! A vosotras que os parece? os gusta???

This winter season Trafaluc's collection had a fur coat in a tone between green and blue. First time I saw it I didn't like it at all, but you know how this things happen... I started to see this coat on celebrities, street style, lookbooks.. and now I regret not buying it!!! What do you think about it? Hate it or love it??

And the Oscar goes to...

La triunfadora de la noche, para mi sin duda alguna la elegancia de Gwyneth Paltrow. Su "over the shoulders" me resultó original, sobrio y con muchisimo charme. El color blanco además le sienta perfecto.
Aunque como ya sabéis uno de mis diseñadores favoritos es Elie Saab... y mis quinielas se cumplieron! no solo dos de las actrices principales llevaron sus diseños, sino que Bérénice Bejo subió a recoger su Oscar con el.

The winner of the night was, without any type of doubt, Gwyneth Paltrow's elegance. Her "over the shoulders" dress was original, sober and totally charming. White colour looks great on her and she chose the right accesorize.
Although as you might know one of my favourite designers is Elie Saab (I just posted about him this weekend)... and I made it right! not only two actresses wore his designs, but Bérénice Bejo won the Oscar with it!

La última colección de Elie Saab me tiene totalmente enamorada... los tonos,  los vestidos, los acabados, las flores bordadas... son una auténtica obra de arte!! seguro que alguno se cuela en la ceremonia de los Oscars de este fin de semana!

I am absolutely in love with Elie Saab 2012 SS Collection... the tones, the dresses, the finishing, the embrodery.... it's a total masterpiece!!! I am pretty sure we will see one at the Oscar's red carpet this weekend!

 

A morning Wedding

A estas alturas del año, me tengo que poner las pilas con la preparación de la temporada de bodas! Este año mi amiga M se casa en Octubre... una boda de día, asi que tengo que pensar el modelito!!!
En las bodas de día el protocolo no permite lucir vestido largo (que tanto me gusta), así que hay que buscar un largo por la rodilla o últimamente he visto mucha minifalda!
Lo que si da mucho juego en una boda de mañana es el poder lucir tocados, pamelas etc! aunque tengo que decir que no soy mucho de ese tipo de complementos, no se... no acabo de verme y no quiero parecer como si fuera disfrazada.


At this time of the year, I have to start preparing for the wedding season!! This October my friend M is getting married... it's a morning wedding, so I need to find the right outfit!
Long dresses are not allowed, and that's a pity cause I love them!!! So we have to look for a knee long dress or lately I've seen a lot of mini-skirts (even in religious ceremony!)
Good thing is that morning weddings is that you can play with head accesorizes such as hats, flowers... though I don't usually wear them, it makes me feel as if I am dressed up

Spring in Oysho

Desde hace años soy super fan de Oysho, encuentro que sus colecciones tienen un diseño muy cuidado, inspiradas en las tendencias de temporada pero siempre con un toque muy chic y delicado. Estas son las propuestas para primavera 2012, unos looks muy naturales y tonos neutros aunque se cuelan los estampados de flores, los tonos fluor (en su versión sorbete) y prints arriesgados.

Since some years ago I am a big Oysho fan, I find their collections have a very delicate design, always inspired by the season trends but with a chic and soft touch. These are their proposals for 2012 spring, some very natural looks, with neutral tones... although we can still se flower prints, fluor colours ( in their softer version) and risky prints.

Hace tiempo que el encaje ha conquistado nuestro armario... y parece que está aquí para quedarse! Viendo las nuevas colecciones de cara a primavera-verano encaje seguirá siendo un plato fuerte. Yo estoy encantada con esta tendencia así que Encaje Forever! Por cierto... ya me he hecho con el vestido de encaje de Paula Echevarría para Blanco...

Weekend shopping

Saturday morning I went shopping, it's one of my favourite activities, specially when it's sunny and the cold is not so bad! THe shops look beautiful now, the sales are going, and the new collections are gorgeous! I had to control myself to keep the budget ;)


La mañana del sabado salí de compras, es una de mis actividades favoritas, especialmente cuando hace un día precioso, con buenas temperaturas y solete! Las tiendas están ideales, con las nuevas colecciones ya ocupandolo prácticamente todo... he tenido que demostrar mucho autocontrol para mantener mi presupuesto!!!


1) Volvoreta Pants - Massimo Dutti
First crush was the Volvoretas print (butterflies): But this is going to be one of my basics this season. The fabric is silky and the high waist looks really good... it's like a premium pyjamas!!!
El primer flechazo fue que el estampado son Volvoretas (Mariposas). Pero creo que este pantalon va a ser un básico para ir al trabajo esta temporada. El tejido es de seda y al tener la cintura alta favorece mucho! Es como ir en pijamita pero arreglada!!!

 

2) Lace white dress from Blanco: I feel in love in the Paula Echevarria campaign... so I got really excited to see it already in the shops!!! I love the pattern, with open back.. super sexy!!! Perfect for the approaching spring nights!!!

Vestido de encaje de Blanco: Me enamoré de él en la campaña de Paula Echevarria, y cual ha sido mi sorpresa al ver que ya está en tiendas!!! Me ha encantado el patrón, ajustado a la cintura y con la espalda descubierta!! Super sexy! ideal para las noches primaverales que se acercan!

Strong Prints

Prints for 2012 season are not going to be shy: intense tones, lots of colour, daring combinations...You either love it or hate it... have you joined the mix??

Los estampados para el 2012 no van a ser tímidos ni apocados: tonos intensos, mucho color, combinaciones sorprendentes... no dejan a nadie indiferente... o los odias o los amas... te unes???

San Francisco &CO (Part II)

Some days ago I explained you about the first part of my visit to San Francisco when I went to crazy Las Vegas. When we came back to San Francisco I must admit I was exhausted! But there are so many things to do and see that you cannot stop!
In the mornings my friend B had to go to the academy, I was initally worried (at least when I was planning the trip from Barcelona) that I would feel lonely and strange to be on my own during the mornings. But in fact it was quite a positive experience! I had the time to walk around, make tours (like Alcatraz) and have some time to think about my things, this doesn't usually happen in my trips. At lunch time I would pick up B to grab some lunch and do something in the afternoon, like visiting the Painted Ladies or shopping Haight-Ashbury. Nightlife is also a big thing in San Francisco!! We went on Tuesday to a Happy Hour club (very dangerous ;)) and on Thursday to Infusion both around Union Square.


Hace algunos dias os expliqué la primera parte de mi visita a San Francisco, la escapada a Las Vegas. Cuando volvimos a San Francisco estábamos muertas! Pero hay tantas cosas que ver y hacer que no podíamos perder ni un momento!
Por las mañanas B tenía clases, de primeras yo estaba preocupada (al menos mientras planeaba el viaje desde Barcelona) creyendo que me sentiría muy solitaria y extraña estando sola por las mañanas... pero de hecho acabó siendo una experiencia bastante positiva! Tuve tiempo para poder pasear tranquilamente, a mi ritmo hacer algún tour (como Alcatraz), y dedicar algo de tiempo a pensar en mis cosas! Parece mentira pero en muchos viajes el ritmo es tan alto que apenas tengo tiempo para reflexionar! A la hora de comer, pasaba a buscar a B para comer algo juntas y hacer algo por las tardes.

*Musts: Cable car ride, Painted Ladies, views of Golden Gate Bridge, Coit Tower views (from the top)
*The F-Line, storic streetcars... cute and more affordable than cable car!
*Don't miss the Alcatraz cruise... specially in foggy days is very impacting!
*Shopping in Haight-Ashbury, where Summer of Love started in 1969.. you can still feel the hippie-chic atmosphere!
*Bike tour by the Golden Gate bridge to Sausalito: Totally recommended! it takes a whole day but it's an amazing experience. You can easily rent bikes around Fisherman's Wharf.
*If you are planning on staying more that 2 days have a look on MUNI passports, they're totally worth it!
*And of course, couldn't miss the stylistic recommendations!!!

*La Linea-F, muy mona y mas asequible que los tranvías!
*El crucero a Alcatraz! especialmente en dias nubosos es espeluznante
*Shopping en Haight-Ashbury...donde empezó el Summer of Love en 1969... aun se puede sentir el hippie-chic
*Ir en bici hasta Sausalito pasando por el Golden Gate: Impresionante! Tardas practicamente todo un dia pero es genial! Es fácil alquilar bicis cerca de Fisherman's Wharf
*Y por supuesto que no falten las recomendaciones estilisticas!!!
